Benjamin Mitchell joined Emergy Oil in 2023 as CEO and COO. Mr. Mitchell has over 20 years of experience in oilfield operations engineering and project management and has executed successful development programs across eight major U.S. horizontal plays. Mr. Mitchell began his career working offshore Gulf of America and is now integrating the rapid advances and expertise gained from unconventional resource plays to the proven high value offshore resources as well. Throughout his career, he has completed exploration projects in fringe basin and initial basin activity throughout the U.S. and overseas that have led to substantial development programs put in place to increase stakeholder value. Prior to joining Emergy Oil, Mr. Mitchell consulted for several E&P companies establishing successful development programs through engineering, field implementation, and connecting value adding industry experts. He has also held senior engineering and management positions within Bruin E&P, Sabine Oil and Gas, ConocoPhillips, and BJ Services. Mr. Mitchell graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

John has over 38 years of C-level industry management experience. Before joining Emergy Oil, John was President of three insurance carriers and on the Board of Directors of nine carriers. Most recently, he was EVP of Risk Theory, a specialty managing general underwriter (MGU’). Before that, he served as Clearview Risk Holdings CFO. In this role John liaised with the private equity owners and ushered the company through a sales transaction with another large private equity-backed insurance group. John began his career as an auditor at KPMG. He graduated with a BBA from Baylor University.

Chris Hollomon has over 15 years in Oil and Gas Experience most recently specializing in M&A Advisory and Audit through boutique consultancy. He has worked with super major and independent energy companies, retail and investment banks, and the largest international law firms. Before his work in consulting Chris headed many smaller companies across multiple sectors from oil field service to defense manufacturing and technology. In addition to his role as Head of Land, Chris relies on a long history of technology centric management to effectively execute his duties directing information technology operations. Chris Hollomon graduated with a BBA before pursuing graduate work, research, and publication at Mississippi State University.

Daniel O'Brien has over a decade of accounting experience working with large scale infrastructure projects. Before his work in infrastructure and construction management and accounting Daniel worked in a limited capacity in the oil and gas field for Companies like Exxon. Daniel's experience is not just limited to accounting and bookkeeping. He also has extensive experience in Human Resources and Job Cost Estimation. Daniel received his degree in finance in 2008 from the University of Houston. He then returned to school receiving his accounting degree in 2010.

Rusty graduated from Texas A&M University in 1989 with a BS in Petroleum Engineering. He has worked in many locales and for numerous oil and gas operators. This included planning and executing successful operations on Gulf of Mexico offshore projects, deep water and shelf, land and inland drilling projects in Louisiana land and coastal zones, South TX, East TX, and New Mexico, in domestic unconventional horizontal plays and internationally in Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, North Sea and West Africa. He has served in executive roles in drilling and completion operations and supply chain management. He is an active member of AADE, SPE and the Pipeliners Association of Houston. He served in varying offices for AADE including president and is currently serving as Treasurer for Houston Chapter. He is married to Maggie Ritz who teaches 8th grade in Klein ISD, and they have two sons, Cooper, 25, and Carson, 21. They are active member at Woodlands Church.

Matt McDaniel is a 1980 graduate from Texas A&M University Department of Petroleum Engineering. He later received a Geology degree in 1983 from the University of Houston. Since that time, Matt’s has had an extensive career in the domestic and international energy business. Matt began working on facilities and pipeline projects throughout the Gulf of Mexico, domestic land and international. This included project management for platform and pipeline design and installation, platform refurbishment, abandonment and removal of platforms and salvage. More recently, Matt has worked on planning, design and installing LNG facilities and offshore terminals to provide natural gas for power generation and industrial use. These projects are in the Caribbean (Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Antigua and St Croix) and South America.
